Do you know what is an added benefit of reinventing your career to do work you love?
Well, you find your tribe.
- people in your life you fully resonate with.
- like-minded people who are interested in the same things.
- people who love what you love.
- people you can be 100% yourself with.
Imagine…. how would that feel like for you?
This is what has happened for me on my journey to reinventing my career and keeps happening even now. It happens for many of my clients too.
Let me show you in pictures.

In Santa Fe (New Mexico), with other Visionary women who share my passion for making a difference in the world with our gifts.

In Los Angeles (California), with my spiritual community for a conference. People who share my passion for spiritual growth.

In Pacifica (California), With amazing business owners like me. We meet for a 3-day retreat twice a year to support each other in our business development and in our life.

In Santa Barbara (California), among other amazing women visionaries committed to bringing their gifts to making the world a better place.
And the list of pictures goes on and on….
My life is literally overflowing with communities of like-minded people.
So much that I have barely enough time in my calendar to connect with all….
Quite the opposite of what I was feeling when I was in my previous career, working in Tech. Not that there is nothing wrong with Tech. If this is your true passion, this is wonderful! You probably have found your tribe.
But like any career field, when this is not your true passion, you can feel quite lonely and isolated at times, even thinking there is something weird or abnormal about you.
Can you relate?
Well, I remember feeling that way often.
- I did not have many people who shared my interest for personal growth and deep authentic conversation, either at work and even outside of work.
- I was craving something that I could not get anywhere.
- I felt lonely.
- I thought: “maybe there is something wrong with me that I feel this way”. “I am too shy”, “I am weird”, “I’m too introverted,” I should be better at small talks,” “I should work harder to make more connections.”
I did not realize that I was just not in my element. Like a fish that is outside of the water.
….There was nothing wrong with me. I was just not where I am meant to thrive.
- I did not know, so I doubted that I could even find a place with like-minded people, people who could talk about personal and spiritual growth for hours. Go deep, talk about how they feel, be vulnerable, and real.
- I thought this place did not exist. Because I could not see anything like that around me.
This is only when I started on my path to reinventing my career, and studying life coaching that I realized that there were people like me.
I started finding them, one person at a time.
And the more I got immersed in my passions, by taking classes, attending mindfulness conferences, and then ultimately starting my own business, the more I would meet MY people, people from my tribe.
Can you relate?
- Do you feel lonely and isolated in your work or life?
- Do you think there are no people like you in the world?
Well, I can tell you: IT’S NOT TRUE.
It is simply because you don’t see them yet; you are not in the right circles to find them.
There is NOTHING wrong with you.
Let me say that again.
There is NOTHING wrong with you.
Breathe that in.
Start your journey, do more of what you love, and you’ll find them naturally, one person at a time. …. and meeting them will help you step into your true self even more.
Finding work you love is more than a career journey, it is a journey of finding yourself, your tribe, and thriving in your life at all levels.
I know. I have experienced it.
it is why I created a group program to support people wanting to reinvent their career. To make it easier for people in career transition to find their tribe. To facilitate that process.
And my clients who are part of it are loving the community support. It does make a difference.
What is one step you are going to take this week to do more of what you love and be more in touch with your tribe?
Let me know. Hit reply and share with me.
Sending blessings on your journey,
You got this!

Her dream came true: she is featured in a leading newspaper.
Wow!
My client, Corinne, who graduated from my Roadmap to A Career You Love program is featured in the Boston Globe. Her vision of starting her own business and being featured in a newspaper came true.

I am SO PROUD of her.
and I know that if she did it, so can you.
I just received this email from her:
Isabelle,
I hope you are doing well. I love seeing your name pop into my inbox when you I receive your newsletter.
I wanted to let you know that I have found deep joy in building a business over the last six months. See the link below – I was just featured in the Boston Globe!
I know that all of our hours and hours of work together got me to this point today. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope you are doing well!!
My fondest regards,
Corinne
Like most of my clients, Corinne came to me with lots of doubts and confusion about the direction of her career and what she wanted to do.
Through our work together, I helped her gain clarity and confidence about her dream career.
As I helped her visualize what her dream career would look like, she saw herself starting her own business and being featured in a newspaper or magazine.
Well, here it is! Her vision is now a reality.
She made the jump and her dream is coming true.
This is only the beginning for her. She has an even BIGGER vision that I helped her clarify. And I know she will do it. She is on her way, one milestone at a time.
She was very confused, had her doubts, but she persisted, she did the work. and it paid off.
If she did it, so can you.
I know it and I’m here to help. I regularly receive emails from past clients sharing about their successes.
And please, do me a favor. Don’t give up, even when the time gets rough. Because it will. It is part of the journey.
Corinne has her lows on her journey and she did not give up!
To your dreams coming true,
Isabelle
P.S. What will it take for you to be a success story? — and if you are already a success story or on your way to one, please share with me. I want to hear and cheer you on!

Do you know what is one of the BIGGEST ROADBLOCKS to discovering the Career You Love?
….and that I’ve seen in so many of my clients, especially when they seem really stuck.
Well, I can tell you what it is NOT.
It is NOT:
– a lack of clarity (even if people think it is, and at a superficial level it feels that way)
– a lack of skills or talents
– a lack of job or career options out there
Nope, none of that.
Surprising, eh?
Here is what it is:
Some negative beliefs about themselves they took on as a result of painful life experiences (or conditioning) and the story they made around it:
- “I’m not worthy”
- “I’m too wild”
- “I’m not lovable”
- “I’m not as smart as my brother”
- “I’m not smart”
- “I’m weird”
- “I’m too bossy”
- “I’m too much”
- “I’m not creative”
- I’m not good enough”
- ….and the list goes on and on.
I’ve seen that in SO MANY of my clients that I cannot ignore it. Many times, there is a point in the process we get there, and it’s when the real breakthrough happens.
Because this is the REAL BLOCK.
It is our perception of who we are that affects what we think we can do.
Let me say that again:
It is our perception of who we are that affects what we think we can do.
Let it sink in.
When we clear that, everything changes. And suddenly, my clients realize that clarity was not the problem. They KNEW ALL ALONG what they truly wanted.
It is the shadow of their old wound that made it blurry for them to see what they truly wanted.
When it’s cleared, they are ready to: Give themselves permission to be who they are and love what they love.
From that place, EVERYTHING becomes possible.
So, here are my question for you:
Deep down, do you hold negative beliefs about yourself? If so, what are they?
Be really honest with yourself. This is an uncomfortable place, but this is a necessary place to explore if you want to create the career and life you truly want.
I know. I’ve been there myself.
And this is why I’m ready to go there with you. This is in the shadow that you will find your light. Sometimes, there is no other way.

But the journey is SO worth it. This is where lasting change happens. I guarantee it. I’ve seen it so many times now.
Are you ready?
I’m ready to go there with you!
Feel free to comment below and share. I am here cheering you on.
I believe in you.
Isabelle

P.S. To your brilliant light that is waiting to soar.

I have a question for you.
“Can you remember who you were, before the world told you who you should be?” (Charles Bukowski)
Really take the time to ponder this.
This is probably the most important question you need to ask yourself if you want to be truly fulfilled in your work and in your life.
Why?
Well, it’s pretty simple.
If you don’t, your work and life will be aligned with who you think you should be.
…what you think you should love.
…what you think you should be good at.
…what the world thinks you should do to be successful.
Do you think living a life of shoulds will ever make you happy and fulfilled?
Be fully honest.
No, it won’t. Ever.
Or you are lying to yourself. or you are in denial.
Should in one of the biggest killers of happiness and fulfillment.
So, let me ask you this question again in different ways:
- Are you able to make the difference between who you truly are and what you think you should be?
- Between what you love doing and what you think you should love or people say you should love?
- Between what you are naturally good at and what the society says you should be good at to succeed?
Be honest with yourself.
The only thing that will ever makes you truly fulfilled in your career is doing work that is aligned with who you truly are.
…what YOU love doing (not your friends, coworkers, parent, or spouse)
…what YOU are naturally good at.
…what makes YOU feel successful.
There is NO other way.
I can tell you. After working with hundreds of people over the past 5 years.
This is why the first part of my process with my clients is about uncovering their authentic self.
Removing the layers of conditioning and going back to your authentic self is the prerequisite to discovering the Work you love.
To your true, authentic, best self!

Do you know that saying NO to what you don’t want is as important as saying YES to what you want?
It is often a prerequisite to it.
It is necessary.
You need to say no to what you do NOT want to make space for what you DO want.
There is no other way.
And this is true when you want to do work you love. You have to let go of work that is not for you.
Last week, I had a professional organizer come to my place to help me organize and declutter three big closets I have been procrastinating on. She was so good that she ended up reorganizing my whole apartment!
I gave away several boxes of stuff.
I let go of what was not serving me anymore.
I let go of things that were not bringing me joy.
I let go of things from the past that were not aligned with the future I am creating.
It was not easy.
I wanted to grab onto them.
I resisted at first.
But I knew grabbing onto them would not help me create the feeling I wanted to have in my place.
I HAD to let go to create the NEW feeling I wanted.
I had to let go of the old to make space for the new.
I am SO happy I did. It was worth it.
I LOVE how my place feels like.
It feels so much more open and spacious for the new things I want in my life. Here are just a few pics. There is WAY more. My closets look amazing! I’m so happy with them that the first thing I do when I get up is look at them. 🙂

What do you need to say NO to to welcome what you want?
What is no longer working for you?
What is it you keep doing or having even if that does not bring you joy?
This is the experience of a lot of my clients. When they clarify the career they DO want, it often comes a time when they have to say NO to what they do not want anymore, which includes the shining offers coming their way that are a reflection of their old self and their old life. I call them “shiny objects.” Ah, because they are SO tempting…
What are “shiny objects” that look so cool on the outside but you know deep down that they are NOT what you truly want?
To make space for what you DO want, you will have –at some point, when the time is right– to say NO to what you do not want anymore.
It won’t be easy.
You will resist it.
Your rational mind will tell you all the reasons why you should not do it.
You will second guess yourself.
I will take courage.
But it will be SO worth it.
What is on the other side is your freedom and your joy.
Your liberation.
I know it. I have been through it.
This is what I stand for.
This is why I do this work.
To help you be free to be who you truly are and do what you love.
To your freedom,
Isabelle
