what I did on Saturday (pics)… and why you need to do this too!

what I did on Saturday (pics)… and why you need to do this too!

Saturday was a NO-PLAN day for me!

I let the day totally open with NO plans whatsoever…

I let it unfold organically according to what my body, mind, heart, and spirit needed in each moment.

It was a day of exquisite self-care.

And it was the BEST.

  • it started with going to my strength training class.
  • then, my body wanted sauna and steam room. So, I drove back home to pick up my bathing suit and went back to my gym to enjoy a combo of sauna + steam room + hot tub + pool + cold shower. As many times as my body wanted. No questions asked.
  • I got a green juice and treated myself to a healthy meal at one of my favorite local places.
  • then, I decided to call my mum and brother who were enjoying dinner in France. We had a wonderful impromptu video chat.
  • then, I got inspired to go for a walk at a local park I love (by the Bay).

  • I had called my favorite local spa earlier to see if they had availability for a massage. They called me back saying a spot had just opened up. So I treated myself to a very relaxing full body massage.

  • then, I was called to go back to the park I was at earlier (Point Isabel) to enjoy more of its beauty. So, I did. No overthinking, simply following the guidance of my body.

How often do you have NO-PLAN days and let the day unfold according to the inspiration of the moment?

If you don’t, you need to!

Our lives in our western societies (even more so in the busy overachieving US) are over planned. We need more unplanned days. Our body and mind need them. Our health needs them.
When is your next NO-PLAN day??

Seriously??

This is a very SERIOUS question.

Your health depends on it.
Doing the work you love depends on it.
Your relationships depend on it!
Your LIFE depends on it.

Start today!

Do it NOW…. Another childhood dream coming true (VIDEO)

By the time this has posted, I will be watching the sunrise at a place I’ve been dreaming of since I was a kid!

Watch the video to find out about this childhood dream coming true.

…and read below why this matters to you.

Are they things you have been wanted to do for a long time and you keep saying “someday, I’ll do that”  or “someday, I’ll go there,” or “someday, [fill in the blank]?

How long have you been saying that?
How long have you been waiting?

1, 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years?

Until when are you going to postpone this?

Be honest with yourself.

Time flies by, and until you know it, there will be no time left.

The time is NOW, not someday.

Someday often never comes unless we do something about it.

Go and take a step!

Your 90-year-old self will thank you for it.

…and I will too, because you going for what you want matters to me. This is why I’m sharing my personal stories with you.

Isabelle

P.S. Share below with me what it is you have wanted to do for a long time; what you are going to do about it, and by when. Accountability will help you make it happen!

LIVE from Sedona, Arizona (pics)… I’ve a message for you

LIVE from Sedona, Arizona (pics)… I’ve a message for you

Hi!

I am currently in Sedona, Arizona. I just attended a 3-day EPIC transformational retreat with other Visionary women and business owners to amplify my service to my clients, my community (you!), and the world.

This is me at Cathedral Rock, after an epic photoshoot.

I had a blast and I feel so inspired.

This morning, I woke up early with a strong inspiration to write. I received a message for you that I needed to share. Half-awake, I sat at my laptop and wrote.

Here is my message for you.

It starts with two questions

Who were you before being conditioned by your family and society?
Who are YOU without all the layers of conditioning you took on as you grew up?

Doing the work you love lies in the answers to these questions.

I guarantee it.

Oh, maybe, you think you did not get conditioned? or you don’t know what I am talking about?

Most of us carry so many layers of conditioning that cloud the truth of who we are. I’ve seen it in myself and I see it in ALL the clients I’ve worked with.
Every single time.
With NO exceptions.

And we wonder why we are unfulfilled and unhappy in our lives and work.

We are living somebody else’s life.
Somebody else’s values.
Somebody else’s notion of success.
Somebody else’s worldview.
Somebody else’s…. [fill in the blank]

From that place, how can you do the Work you love? How can you live the life you want?

You CAN’T.

Why?

Well, imagine… being stuck in someone’s else notion of what fulfillment means.

How can YOU be fulfilled?

You simply cannot. It is impossible.

and sadly, this is the way most people on the planet are living their lives.

If you are still doubting, let me give you some examples of clients.

  • He has been an engineer for all his life. He is in his late 40s. He was bored and unfulfilled in his work when he started working with me. Through our work together, he realized that when he was a kid, he loved drawing and building things with his hands. He is also naturally very intuitive and connected to the unseen. But his dad valued engineering and encouraged him to follow that path. So, he lost touch with his true nature as a builder, artist, and an intuitive person. He lost touch with what makes him alive and happy.

  • Her parents’ notion of success is to have letters after their name (PhD, MD, etc). Unconsciously, to be loved by her parents as a kid, she took on this idea that to be successful and happy in her work, she needed status and to have letters after her name. But this is incongruent with what she loves and what makes her fulfilled. So, she was struggling to find her own path, being unconsciously influenced by this old programming.

I’ve seen it in myself too.

  • I am an avid world traveler. This is part of who I am. I am a citizen of the world. But part of my family has different values and worldview. They value staying and living close to family. Unconsciously, to be loved by them, I shrank down that part of me who loves traveling the world.

What is arising for you right now?

Listen.

If you were not trying to please family and society, what would you do?
Who would you be?
How would you live your life?

Truly listen.

The voice of your true self may be very quiet, especially if it has been buried for a long time, as for a lot of my clients.

You may not even hear it.

It DOES NOT mean it’s not there.

If you are having a hard time hearing it and and need help uncovering it, I would be delighted to support you. Or If you know someone that can benefit from this message, please forward it to them.

This is one of the things I am the best at and the work I LOVE doing with my clients.

P.S. “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” (Mary Oliver)

I own it. Do you?

I own it. Do you?

I am French American and I LOVE it!!

I love being bicultural.

I own it.

I am it.

I used to not own it.

Feeling like I had to choose.

Listening to all the judgements and opinions from people, family, society, or even my own.
Real or imaginary.
Internal or external.

“You have to choose.”
“Being bicultural is hard. You feel like you never belong anywhere.”
“You are abandoning your country.”
“You are betraying your native culture.”
“Why did you choose to live so far away from your family?”
“Are you really happy there?”
“It is not true happiness. You are lying to yourself.”
“Where is your home? You have to choose. You have to know.”

Screw that!

I AM BICULTURAL and I LOVE IT.
I AM HAPPY.
I don’t need to choose.

I totally own it and embrace it.

This is the freedom of choosing who I am and who I want to be, independently of the opinions of people, family, and society.

Let me ask you? What are you choosing to own today?

Yes, you.

Independently of friend’s, family’s, society’s judgments or even your own.

It is amazing how we let others or society’s judgments affect who we are, isn’t it?

Time to let go of all of that.

Time to OWN who you are.

You know…. that thing that you know deep down you are, but you have been hiding to please others.

Look within and make a choice.

TODAY.

Now.

Yes, now.

As you are reading this blog.

Stop and reflect.

I see you.

Stop giving your power away to others to define who you are.

It is not worth it.

You are the captain of your own life.

The captain of your destiny.

Nobody else.

But you.

To your freedom,
To the freedom of being who you truly are,

Isabelle

P.S. Please share with me what you are owning. I see and witness you. I stand by your side to own it. Always. This is my commitment to you.
